“This would have been the chance for Harvard to emphasize its value as a research institution and to tell the committee and the country how it is addressing antisemitism,” Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) stated.

Katrina Armstrong, Columbia’s former interim president, resigned in March following a deposition from the Federal Task Force to Combat Antisemitism.
“Harvard’s campus, once a symbol of academic prestige, has become a breeding ground for virtue signaling and discrimination,” according to the federal task force on Jew-hatred.
Universities that allow “Jew-free zones” and condone terror will meet consequences, said Yehuda Kaploun, Washington’s nominated envoy on antisemitism.
“The Trump administration will vigorously uphold the law and ensure universities are transparent with their foreign gifts and investments,” the department stated.
A university spokesperson told JNS that the school has suspended 65 students and barred another 33 from campus.
“Columbia unequivocally rejects antisemitism and all other forms of harassment and discrimination,” stated Claire Shipman, acting president of Columbia University.
The decision follows the Jewish state assuming the rotating presidency of the alliance.
The school “strongly condemns” an illegal building occupation on campus and an antisemitic statement from a student group, a spokesman told JNS.
“The scourge of antisemitism has taken root far beyond the country’s best-known ivory towers,” the committee chair said, opening the hearing.
“It is a 180 from my convo with him,” said Dave Portnoy, owner of Barstool Sports. “Needless to say, his trip to Poland has been revoked.”
