Father of hostage Noa Marciano received video of her murder by Gaza doctor

“There are still many mornings I wake up with that video,” related Avi Marciano, saying that the physician injected air into his daughter’s veins.

Avi Marciano, the father of deceased hostage Cpl. Noa Marciano, shared on Wednesday that he received a video of the murder of his daughter that haunts him to this day.

The footage, which was sent to him on Telegram, showed a civilian doctor at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City murdering the 19-year-old by injecting air into her veins as she lay in bed, pleading for her life.

The information was conveyed for the first time in front of a small crowd and posted on Instagram by Israeli television and media personality Shai Deluca.

Marciano was abducted on Oct. 7, 2023, the day of the Hamas attack, from the IDF’s Nahal Oz Base, where she served as an observation soldier, also known as a lookout or spotter. She was one of seven female soldiers kidnapped from the base and the only one not to return alive to Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces recovered her body in November 2023, from a building adjacent to the hospital in Gaza City.

Speaking about the horrifying footage, Marciano’s father said that by the end of it he could see Noa sweating, but “her life had gone out of her.”

A week later, she was found and brought to burial in the city of Modi’in, west of Jerusalem.

“Noa was my eldest daughter and there’s not a day when I don’t miss her,” Avi Marciano said.

“What I’ve been through is the worst nightmare that I can imagine a person going through,” he continued. “There are still many mornings I wake up with that video.”

The kidnapped soldier was admitted to the hospital after sustaining an injury to her leg from IDF fire while she was being transported in a vehicle by terrorists, her father said. The wound was not life-threatening, he added.

“A parent should never learn of their child’s fate this way. Never,” Deluca wrote on his Instagram account.

“In Gaza, if you are a Jew, your life means nothing—not to terrorists, and not even to civilians. This is the truth the world refuses to confront,” he said.
