The top American diplomat discussed Gaza, Yemen and Syria during a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah.

The first, 42-day phase of the truce with Hamas expired on March 1.

He met with the terrorist group “to help to get Americans and Israelis out” of Gaza captivity.
“It’s the only plan that is realistic for peace, for security. The only one—there is no other way,” said Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
Israeli officials acknowledge that the current situation effectively constitutes a ceasefire, allowing Hamas to regroup and recover its strength.
