Israeli troops shot and killed a Palestinian terrorist on Sunday while responding to reports of several Palestinians throwing rocks at Israeli civilians near Ofra in southern Samaria, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Soldiers initially used riot-dispersal methods upon arriving at the scene in an attempt to restore order, according to the military.

“A terrorist who was in the area hurled rocks toward the soldiers, who in return responded with precise fire to neutralize the threat and eliminated the terrorist,” the IDF said, adding that no soldiers were hurt in the incident.
