“Over the past day, the Israeli Air Force conducted large-scale strikes in order to establish aerial superiority and to pave the path to Tehran,” the IDF stated.
“Every element of the Iranian regime” was a target, said Israel’s defense minister.
“We will respond forcefully to anyone who harms us,” said IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin.
Those slain included Ali Shamkhani, secretary of the Iranian Security Council, and Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the IRGC.
“Any enemy that threatens Israel’s security will pay a heavy price,” Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir stated.
His body, described as riddled with shrapnel, was reportedly recovered from the rubble after his compound was targeted.
The operation involved hundreds of munitions targeting roughly 500 objectives, including missile launchers and aerial defense systems.
“We’re certain that the enemy will be dealt a major blow,” Hezbollah said.
The design features an Israeli flag and a roaring lion.
“We are embarking on an operation that is taking place on a completely different scale,” the IDF chief of staff said.
While Arab and Muslim countries condemned the joint operation of the United States and Israel, Western allies showed understanding for it.
The official estimates that Tehran missile stockpile is in “high hundreds to low thousands” and says it “hasn’t abandoned its plan to destroy Israel.”
