The war will continue, Israel Katz vows, as U.S. reports 5,500 strikes on Iran.
The IDF overnight announced “wide-scale strikes” in Lebanon and Tehran.
The Jewish state said it hit dozens of launchers and terror operatives and struck Hezbollah intelligence headquarters.
The attack from the Iran-backed terrorist group in Lebanon prompted Israeli airstrikes on launch sites and damage across the Galilee.
An aircraft also eliminated the cell operating launcher, the military said.
The proposed solution: a broad deployment across the area to prevent Hezbollah from controlling key points.
“We are deepening the damage to its capabilities with each passing day and increasing the pressure on it,” said IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin.
“Aerial operations that were planned two months ago are now setting out,” said IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir.
Hassan Salameh was killed in a targeted Israeli Air Force strike in the Jwaya area of the Tyre District.
Internal Iranian security forces “have for years been responsible for executing terror activities,” the Israeli military said.
The “Special Situation on the Home Front” was extended through March 26.
