The top U.S. diplomat told Israel’s president earlier in the day that Hamas is solely responsible for the lack of an agreement.
“The possibility that they will issue arrest warrants ... is a scandal of historical magnitude,” said the Israeli premier.
“Israel has no closer ally than America, and America has no closer ally than Israel,” said the Israeli president.
The Israeli leader’s grandfather was entrusted with the Pesachim Tractate after it was found in the Bürgerbräukeller beer hall in Munich in 1945.
“The world must not remain silent in the face of such crimes. Bring them home now!” wrote Herzog on X.
But he warned that “as time passes, we seem to be gradually returning to the realms of polarization and partisanship.”

In December, Yotam Haim, Samer Talalka and Alon Shamriz were tragically killed by Israeli forces amid combat in the Gaza City neighborhood of Shejaiya.

“We will continue taking immediate actions to ensure that more is done to protect humanitarian aid workers.”
“We will work together to upgrade the humanitarian aid to Gaza and to bring the hostages back home,” the Israeli president said.
“He seeks terror and the entire world and our entire region must know that the responsibility lies with him,” said the Israeli president.
