The Israel Defense Forces Medical Corps is achieving the world’s fastest casualty evacuation times, highlighting its wartime medical operations, according to data it released on Thursday.

Operating under the Technological and Logistics Directorate, the corps has supported wounded personnel from the battlefield to full rehabilitation throughout the ongoing war.

The corps credits several factors for its speed and effectiveness: real-time coordination with the Israeli Air Force and ground units, integration of advanced technologies, and a sharp increase in the number of senior combat medics embedded with frontline troops. These medics operate under fire, offering lifesaving care moments after injury.

Mental health has also become a central focus. Since the war began, more than 1,000 mental health officers have been deployed. In an unprecedented step, they have entered active combat zones in Gaza and Lebanon more than 80 times to lead on-site sessions with combat soldiers, helping them process traumatic experiences soon after they occur.

This combination of rapid physical and psychological care underscores the IDF Medical Corps’ evolving role as both a medical and moral lifeline for soldiers in the field.
