Terrorists in the Land of the Cedars unleashed a barrage of anti-tank missiles towards the northernmost Israeli town of Metula on Thursday.

“A short while ago, terrorists launched a number of anti-tank missiles and fired small arms at an IDF post in the Metula area,” the Israel Defense Forces announced.

Israeli forces attacked the sources of the fire with tank and artillery fire.

In addition, a number of mortar shells were fired from Southern Lebanon. The IDF attacked the area from where the shooting was carried out.

The attacks came after the IDF identified and attacked two anti-tank-missile terrorist cells located in Lebanon in the areas adjacent to the army’s Biranit Base and Kibbutz Yiftah.

Earlier, terrorists had fired missiles at the community of Mitzpe Adi in the Jezreel Valley and at an Israeli aerial drone near the contested Mount Dov region.

In each of the incidents, Israeli forces located the source of the fire and fired with artillery.

In addition, the IDF said its forces carried out an operation on Wednesday night against a terrorist cell in the western sector of the border, in the Rosh Hanikra area.

IAF fighter jets struck Hezbollah targets in Lebanon on Wednesday night following launches into Israel over the past day, the army said.

Military structures, posts and technological assets were among the targets.

The IDF also reported on Wednesday night that it had struck a terrorist cell in Lebanon that was operating near Biranit.
