The Israel Defense Forces on Monday published audio and visual documentation of the Oct. 16 engagement in southern Gaza during which Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed by Israeli forces.
The troops that eliminated the architect of Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023 massacre were part of an 828th “Bislah” Brigade combat team, which had been operating in the former Hamas stronghold of Rafah under the command of the Gaza Division in recent weeks.
