The terror sites represent “a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and posed a future threat to the State of Israel.”
The new protocol includes the IDF reporting to the Israel Geological Survey in advance of tunnel demolitions.
“It is not currently part of Lebanese foreign policy,” Joseph Aoun said.
“We have demonstrated Israel’s strength and transformed the reality on the ground. We are in a historic moment,” said the Israeli president.
“The existence and use of this command center constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the military said.
“This could be seen as a failure, or as a limitation of our capabilities,” said Naim Qassem.
According to the Israeli military, Ali Abd al-Hassan Haidar led attacks on Israeli civilians and troops, and was involved in plans to infiltrate the Galilee region and rebuilt terrorist infrastructure sites.
The arrest of Nasser Al-Laham, a reporter for Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen news outlet, was condemned by the Iranian-backed terrorist group.
The IDF attacks came before U.S. envoy Tom Barrack was due in Beirut to discuss the disarmament of Hezbollah.
Hezbollah is ready for “confrontation and combat” with Israel, said Naim Qassem.

The Quds Force is the elite paramilitary branch of Tehran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
