In Los Angeles, United Hatzalah raises $5 million with help from Jay Leno
Celebrity comedian Jay Leno has expressed his public support for Israel and hosted the 2014 Genesis Prize awards in Jerusalem.
The police chief, Sandra Spagnoli, was accused by at least 21 current and former employees of racist and anti-Semitic remarks, including allegedly referring to “kippahs” as “funny hats” and asked if she had to “dress Mexican” when she was invited to a Latino employee’s house.
“Hate in America is on the rise,” said LAPD chief Michel Moore. “That has to change.”
