In December, Missouri state Democratic lawmakers kicked Sarah Unsicker out of their caucus, citing the Democrat’s antisemitic remarks and conspiracy theories and a photo for which she posed with Charles Johnson, whom the Anti-Defamation League describes as “a Holocaust denier and alt-right troll.”

On Monday, Unsicker announced that she is running for governor of Missouri, The Kansas City Star reported.

“Missouri is the battlefield for the soul of America,” she said in her announcement. “I am here to ask for all of America to help me put the heart back in the heartland.”

She was previously running for attorney general of Missouri, but dropped out of that race last month.
