The P.A. did not explain what prompted the change in policy toward the Qatari state-sponsored satellite channel, which it previously accused of “incitement and false reports that stir internal unrest and interfere in internal Palestinian affairs.”
The president’s itinerary includes Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and potentially Turkey.
“It will be one of the most important announcements that have been made in many years about a certain subject. Very important subject,” said the U.S. president.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry hit back at Doha after it accused Israel of promoting “false narratives to justify crimes against innocent civilians.”
