“House Republicans have recruited an array of impressive challengers for the most competitive races,” RJC leaders say.
Speakers include Harvard grad fighting campus antisemitism, as well as the head of Republican Jewish Coalition.
“Across VA-05, Republican primary voters rejected extremist Rep. Bob Good and supported reliably pro-Israel RJC-endorsed conservative John McGuire to represent them in Congress,” Republican Jewish Coalition leaders stated.
Republican Jewish Coalition CEO Matt Brooks accused the sitting congressman of “abandoning Israel” in his April endorsement of challenging State Sen. John McGuire.
The New York congresswoman is “a standout ally of Israel in its fight against Hamas and a strong voice against antisemitism,” the Republican Jewish Coalition said.
The RJC points to the candidate’s “steadfast and consistent backing of Israel against its fight against Hamas.”
The RJC called it a “political prosecution,” and DMFI said a convicted felon shouldn’t hold the presidency.
The group plans to spend $50,000 in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and Michigan.
Republican Jewish Coalition called John Hostettler’s defeat “a major victory.”
The incumbent congressman, whom the RJC accuses of abandoning the Jewish state, has denounced antisemitism and supported Israel.
The U.S. House of Representatives must “pass an emergency supplemental that can be signed by the president,” they stated. “History will not forgive the failure of Congress to act.”
“We are deeply troubled by John Hostettler’s past record and RJC is committed to ensuring he does not get back to Congress,” it stated.
