The highly acclaimed miniseries starring Israeli actress Shira Haas is recognized as one of the “compelling and empowering stories released across broadcast and streaming media in 2020.”
Barbra Streisand will be the executive producer of the project based on the book “Lioness: Golda Meir and the Nation of Israel.”
“Everyone on this list is poised to make history,” says Dan Macsai, editorial director of the 2021 TIME100 NEXT project. “And, in fact, many already have.”
The mother-daughter drama will now become Israel’s entry in the Best International Feature category at the Oscars next spring.
