#EndJewHatred movement issues statement in response to recent UN General Assembly vote

International grassroots movement condemns vote asking International Court of Justice to seek advisory opinion on Israel’s “occupation” of Palestinian territories.

The international grassroots civil rights movement End Jew Hatred released the following statement following last week’s vote by the United Nations General Assembly to seek an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the legality of Israel’s “occupation” of Palestinian territories on the grounds that it can be considered de-factor annexation:

“At a time when antisemitism and violent attacks against Jews are increasing around the world, the United Nations General Assembly’s recent vote does little more than reinforce and normalize Jew-hatred by singling out the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people for delegitimization that ignores history. The General Assembly, through its singular fixation on denying the expression of Jewish identity and self-determination, risks irrelevance at a time when so many other global crises need to be addressed. This vote also flies in the face of the Oslo Accords and endangers any prospect of a full, meaningful, and peaceful resolution of decades of conflict and fighting. Legitimizing false narratives about Israel only leads to more violence against Jews, and leaves the U.N. with blood on its hands.”

#EndJewHatred is an international grassroots civil rights movement that unites ordinary people, activists and organizations from around the world who support the cause that defines the movement: to end Jew-hatred in our lifetime. It does so by altering public discourse to make Jew-hatred unacceptable in society, while empowering Jews with positivity and strength to discover and enjoy their heritage in whichever manner they choose, without fear of attack or persecution.
