HonestReporting Canada presents: Ambassador Danny Danon and the untold story of how the U.N. became anti-Israel (February 8 webinar)

Ambassador Danon will share his experiences and perspective for what the future holds for Israel’s place in the U.N., and what can be done to reform the world body’s disastrous record on Israel.

In 2021, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) passed a total of four resolutions specifically condemning a nation-state (one each for Myanmar, Iran, North Korea, and Russia. But Israel was censured 14 times – more than triple the amount for all the other countries combined.

The Jewish State, which represents just over 1/1000th of the world population, received nearly 80% of the condemnations from the UN.

The United Nations wasn’t always this hostile to Israel. In 1947, the UN voted in favor of the partition plan, which gave Israel independence from the United Kingdom, and the Jewish People their own nation-state in two millennia.

What changed so significantly to alter the course of the UN, and what can be done to change its course?

Or is the UN simply too far gone, as some critics suggest, and should be dismantled altogether?

On Tuesday, February 8 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time, join HonestReporting Canada for its first Insider Briefing of 2022, with special guest Ambassador Danny Danon, Israel’s former envoy to the United Nations from 2015-2020.
