PJ Library, the flagship program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF), announces the addition of Argentina as the 40th country to its growing global family. PJ Library currently reaches more than 660,000 children worldwide each month with the gift of Jewish-themed storybooks, making the program one of the largest shared, global Jewish experiences.

“I am thrilled to welcome the Jewish community of Argentina to PJ Library,” says Rachel Kozupsky, director of international programs of PJ Library. “We have wanted to launch PJ Library in Argentina for years. We could not have done it without the partnership and guidance from the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), the first 12 schools implementing the program, and our incredibly generous funding partners, both within Argentina and overseas.”

Argentina is the 13th Spanish-speaking country in which PJ Library operates. In its first year, PJ Library will reach more than 1,000 children ages 3 and 4 through Jewish day schools around the country. The goal in the next few years is to reach more than 6,000 Argentinian children, which has the potential to triple PJ Library’s Spanish-speaking program.

Alex Zablotsky, executive director of PJ Library, adds that “PJ Library books have been part of quality family time and sparking Jewish conversations across the globe for more than 18 years. We are excited that the Argentinian community will now have the opportunity to share in this experience with so many other families around the world.”

The network relies on AI-generated avatars and fabricated IDs designed to mimic credible Jewish voices, Combat Antisemitism Movement found.
“It is disturbing to see some corners of our justice system treat the life of a Jewish American as worth so little,” Alyza Lewin, president of U.S. affairs at the Combat Antisemitism Movement, told JNS.
“We are more scared than ever,” Jewish activist Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi told JNS. “Despite the overall reduction in the number of instances, the severity of instances is terrifying.”
“I was eventually told by the police that there’s not much that they could do and the case would ultimately get thrown out,” Nir Golan told a public inquiry of the 2023 attack.
The analysis found that Cole Allen, who faces multiple felony charges for the April 25 attack, had “multiple social and political grievances” and cited his social media posts criticizing the war.
A spokesman for the New York City Economic Development Corporation told JNS that a Japan page was also taken down.
