This experience reminded me that Israel is an “everlasting homeland,” a junior told JNS.
Students “will live and learn together, developing an unbreakable bond, as they learn about Diaspora Jewry, Israeli life, our shared history and importantly, a joint future,” said JNF-USA’s National First Vice President, Joseph Wolfson.
“We always have, and always will, prioritize the safety and well-being of our students,” said Joe Wolfson, AMHSI-JNF chairman of the board.
Students are inspired to live outside of their books and assignments, and find their link within the chain of Jewish continuity.
In just 10 minutes, Chana Stein had to collect nearly a decade’s worth of memories and seek a safe distance from the blaze encroaching on the home she and her husband, Danny, had built.
The 16-acre site of the new JNF Israel Education and Technology Center will offer dormitories, apartments, a dining hall, restaurant, synagogue, conference center, classrooms and community rooms.
