He currently serves as head of legal strategies at Palestinian Media Watch and directs the Initiative for Palestinian Authority Accountability and Reform at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. The Palestinian Authority’s show of solidarity over Iranian attacks ignores Arafat’s alliance with Saddam and Kuwait’s mass expulsion of Palestinians.
The stubborn fact is that the PLO and P.A. are still living in 1947, and reject the very existence of Israel. They will never accept anything short of its destruction.
P.A. donor countries must demand that it explain its squandering of billions in aid on non-functioning bodies and terrorist organizations.
In its recent report on the P.A. financial crisis, the World Bank shamefully absolves the P.A. of fiscal responsibility.
The underlying message of the U.S.-sponsored summit in Manama exposes the fact that the P.A. and PLO no longer represent the interests of the Palestinians.
Using the aid previously provided to UNRWA, the countries that have hosted the Palestinian refugees for over 70 years must finally integrate them.
P.A. leader Mahmoud Abbas has decided to plunge the P.A. economy into the abyss rather than stop payments to terrorists. France, the EU and UN are all pressuring Israel to give in to Abbas’s blackmail.
If Hamas knew that in return for every cross-border explosive fired, 50 or 100 of its members would be targeted, there is no question that they would think twice before ordering an attack on Israel.
A fundamental stipulation and Palestinian commitment of the Oslo peace process was to abandon the use of violence as a means to achieve the Palestinian goal of self-determination.
