The Israeli prime minister visited the northern city of Kiryat Shmona just minutes after an anti-tank missile hit.
The soldiers will receive the money “without delay,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
“I have a clear message for our enemies: What happened on October 7 will not happen again,” the Israeli PM said at the weekly Cabinet meeting.
The comments came after a Security Cabinet meeting in which several ministers reportedly had it out with IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.
Arguing that the law, an amendment to Basic Law: The Government limiting the conditions under which a sitting premier can be removed from office, the Court ruled that the law will only go into effect after elections.
Hamas warned that “enemy prisoners will not be released except under the resistance’s conditions.”
Around two-thirds of Israelis reject these calls by the Biden administration, including 75% of Jewish Israelis and 87% of right-wing Jews.
For several weeks, officials brainstormed on a name for the conflict that would reflect the right message in the international arena.

The Israeli premier said that the offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip had eliminated over 8,000 terrorists to date, and could last months yet.
