Asked if ISIS grievances equated to Russians in the way U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres talked about a Hamas rationale for killing Israelis, a spokesperson said that was “a bit of an oversimplification.”

The pair planned to plant improvised explosive devices aimed at security forces, and other acts of terror.
“Barge into their homes and kill them using different methods, including gunfire, bombs, grenades and knives,” ISIS said.
The suspect stated that he did not recognize the State of Israel and that an Islamic state should be established in its place.
The closest recent parallel to the current Gaza war is the U.S.-led Coalition’s war against Islamic State in 2014-19.
