Hadas Zubary, whose niece Naama Levy, 19, is a captive in Gaza, tells JNS that Sunday, six months since Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre and kidnapping of 253 people, is a “very sad day for us.”

“It’s half a year already, it’s unbelievable. We did not think it could be more than a month,” Zubary said.

“We are here [near the Knesset in Jerusalem, preparing to participate in a demonstration calling on the government to free the hostages] because we want everyone to know that it is still happening, and we wish people would join us and support us and scream to bring them back. I know there are many issues and agendas but I think we all should unite and say the same thing,” she continued.

“The most urgent thing is to bring them home.”

Levy was abducted by Hamas terrorists from the Nahal Oz military base, and later filmed with her hands bound behind her back and bleeding from her posterior.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry called the incident “utterly unacceptable.”
The proposal was “inappropriate,” German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said.
Hostile statements were spray-painted along the length of a school building, including: “Israel spit on Christians. They hate the world,” and “Israel kills kids.”
