The Israeli military launched a drone strike on terrorist gunmen in Jenin overnight Tuesday after its forces came under attack during a counterterror operation in the city, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
According to Palestinian sources, at least four terrorists were killed in the strike, including a member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Israeli forces also clashed with terrorist gunmen in nearby Wadi Bruqin during a counterterror operation there, according to the military. The IDF reported only that “hits were identified.”
Two terror suspects were arrested during the Wadi Bruqin raid, according to the IDF.
No injuries to Israeli forces were reported in either incident.

Overnight Monday, an Israeli soldier was moderately wounded by an explosive device during a counterterrorism raid in the Palestinian-controlled village of Burqa in Samaria.
On Oct. 21, Israel struck a “terror route” under a mosque in the Jenin refugee camp, killing Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad members planning an “imminent” terror attack. It is believed to be the first strike carried out by an Israeli fighter jet in Judea or Samaria in more than two decades.
Since Hamas’s Oct. 7 invasion of southern Israel, Israeli forces have arrested some 860 Palestinians across Judea and Samaria. According to the military, more than 500 of them are affiliated with Hamas.
Kan News quoted an Israeli military official as saying after the latest Jenin operation that “the situation has changed, the Central Command is in the war against Hamas, ISIS and Islamic Jihad. There is no safe place for any terrorist in Judea and Samaria, we will continue to pursue them wherever they are. Every terrorist who raises a weapon will be eliminated.”
