Israel Defense Forces troops overnight Thursday shot and killed two suspects among a group who had crossed the border from Jordan near the city of Beit She’an and approached them in a threatening manner.

The IDF said that some of the suspects sustained injuries, without elaborating on their condition. Six suspects were subsequently arrested.

No Israeli soldiers were hurt in the incident.

On Feb. 24, Israeli security forces detained two people near the Dead Sea who had illegally crossed from Jordan into Israel.

The developments come amid increasing tensions along Israel’s eastern frontier with Jordan, which at almost 200 miles is the Jewish state’s longest border.

Terrorist infiltrators from Jordan shot and wounded two Israelis near the Dead Sea on Oct. 18.

On Sept. 8, three security guards at the Allenby Bridge crossing in the Jordan Valley were murdered in a terrorist shooting. The gunman, who according to the IDF was a Jordanian citizen, was killed. He was later named as Maher D’yab Hussein Jazi, a 39-year-old truck driver from the city of Irbid.

On Nov. 26, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the construction of a security barrier along the entire border with Jordan to thwart terrorist infiltrations.

This followed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s pledge that Israel would work with Amman to strengthen the eastern frontier to maintain “peace and security” in the area.

The New York City mayor said that the accused attacker is an alleged member of a right-wing, violent Jewish group.
“I stood on a chair at the kitchen table, watching mom and Bubbe grate the apples for the charoset, and I would sneak little bits of fruit,” says a daughter who has since become a mother.
The U.S. vice president said the administration is seeking legal remedies and alleged that the anti-Israel congresswoman is “at the center” of fraud in the Somali community.
“As online hatred, harassment and vitriol become an increasingly pervasive part of the Jewish experience, we need scalable, effective solutions,” said Tal-Or Cohen Montemayor of CyberWell.
“We will terminate every diversity, equity and inclusion program across the entire federal government,” the U.S. president stated.
