The Israeli Air Force, in three separate incidents on Sunday, attacked terrorists who breached the Gaza ceasefire by crossing the Yellow Line in the northern Strip and threatening troops, the military said.

In the first incident, three terrorists ignored warning shots, crossed into Israeli-controlled territory and advanced toward soldiers, prompting troops to call in an airstrike. In two additional incidents, troops detected individual terrorists who crossed the Yellow Line and posed an immediate threat.

On Saturday, the IAF killed two Palestinian terrorists who crossed the Yellow Line in the northern Strip.

The terrorists advanced toward the soldiers, prompting the air force to attack them, the IDF said.

“IDF troops in the Southern Command remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat,” the statement added.

The IDF announced on Saturday that soldiers from the Kfir Infantry Brigade, operating under the Gaza Division, have completed a two-month tour of duty along the Yellow Line in southern Gaza.

The troops are exiting the Strip and will be replaced by the 188th “Barak” (“Lightning”) Armored Brigade.

During their deployment, the forces eliminated approximately 20 terrorists and dismantled hundreds of terrorist infrastructure sites, including an underground tunnel route roughly two kilometers long and another subterranean passage extending several hundred meters in the Khan Yunis area.

U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday that the International Stabilization Force for Gaza was already running, despite Jerusalem’s opposition to moving to Phase 2 before the return of the remains of the last hostage—Israel Police Master Sgt. Ran Gvili.

“I think that, in a form, it’s already running,” Trump said in the Oval Office. “More and more countries are coming into it. They’re already in but they’ll send any number of troops that I ask them to send.”

On Dec. 7, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said that the Gaza ceasefire line known as the Yellow Line, demarcating the Israeli military withdrawal, is “a new border line.”

“We have operational control over extensive parts of the Gaza Strip, and we will remain on those defense lines,” Zamir said during a tour of Gaza. “The Yellow Line is a new border line—serving as a forward defensive line for our communities and a line of operational activity.”

Israel controls about 53% of Gaza under the first phase of Trump’s peace plan.
