An Israeli man was moderately wounded on Wednesday in a shooting at the southern entrance to Jerusalem, according to first responders.

“Magen David Adom medics and paramedics provided medical treatment to a 20-year-old man, in moderate condition with penetrating injuries to his limbs, and referred him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center,” Magen David Adom announced.

The Israeli military has yet to comment on the circumstances of the incident, which took place at the Gush Etzion tunnel checkpoint.

Video footage shared on social media reportedly shows the moment when security forces neutralize the gunman.
