Hope springs eternal for peace and prosperity in the Middle East with Donald Trump now elected to become the 47th president of the United States. But not everyone is happy. The left, both in Israel and America, has already begun efforts to obstruct possible cooperation between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump.

The weekend statement from the Foreign Ministry comes six months after Jerusalem and the South American nation restored full diplomatic relations.
