“Someone tried to stab me on stage during this evening’s rally, but fortunately, I was able to grab his wrist and stop him for a few moments until others tackled him,” he tweeted.
In a letter, they asked New York Gov. Kathy Hochul to make good on her November threat to Ben & Jerry’s, and its parent company Unilever, to a list of companies from which the state must divest.
It will focus, among other things, on the next generation of electric-vehicle charging, artificial intelligence and energy storage.

‘Anti-Semitism in disguise': New York Orthodox groups welcome Hochul’s veto of conservation bill
The bill, A5761, would have allowed the town of Blooming Grove, in Orange County, N.Y., to create a “community preservation fund” with property transfer tax dollars aimed at preserving open spaces and farmland. Blooming Grove is less than 10 miles north of the Chassidic enclave of Kiryas Joel.
“It’s the result of a toxic environment where agitators spent years weaponizing debates about municipal policy with an outsized focus on Orthodox Jews, and the commentary loaded with one-sided reporting and flat-out lies,” said the Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council.
Kathy Hochul: “There is no reason for a symbol of hate to ever be on display, let alone by a police or fire department charged with protecting their community.”
The state will allocate $25 million to help nonprofits at risk of attack, including day-care centers, day camps and community centers.
After 10 years at the helm of New York, the soon-to-be vacating governor is described by Jewish politicos in the state as someone not endearing, and that the relationship, though productive, was one of necessity for both Cuomo’s political ambitions and the Jewish community’s needs.
