In a letter to more than 50 world leaders, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid says that bringing the matter before the ICJ would contravene the principle of direct talks and play into the hands of extremists.
“It was made clear to the ambassador that this behavior does not reflect relations between friendly states,” the Foreign Ministry said.
