Michael Mostyn, CEO of B’nai Brith Canada, lauded the decision, saying “Jews returning to producing wine in their indigenous homeland is something to be celebrated, not stigmatized.”
Managing director of global communications at the American Jewish Committee Avi Mayer praised the decision, tweeting: “Kudos for rejecting hate.”
The house, in the Freemont neighborhood of Seattle, has a mezuzah on its doorpost, making the home identifiably Jewish.
A number of student organizations co-sponsored individual events, including Jewish Coalition for Peace.
Personal objects were also found, including a key and a broken comb.
