“I believe that the Palestinian armed organizations are going to resist; they will continue the resistance,” said Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a speech.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad reportedly fired the rockets, but Israel holds Hamas, the de facto governing body in Gaza, responsible for any rocket fire launched from the coastal territory.

This round of fighting dealt a significant blow to Palestinian Islamic Jihad; defense chiefs are eyeing whether the halt in hostilities will allow Israel to keep its focus on the far larger threats to the north.
