U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday expressed sympathy following the announcement that his predecessor, Joe Biden, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
Biden, 82, served one term as the 46th president of the United States from 2021 to 2025. He lost his bid for re-election to Trump in the 2024 presidential race.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded on X early Tuesday: “Sara and my hearts and hopes are with Joe and Jill Biden. I have known Joe for 45 years. One thing is for sure, Joe is a fighter and a survivor. The people of Israel and I wish @JoeBiden a full and speedy recovery.”
