“These pivotal places inspire continued diligence against antisemitism at home and abroad,” wrote the Virginia senator in a social-media post.
“Thanks to the dedication of our lawmakers, Texas families will soon have education freedom,” wrote Greg Abbott, the state governor.
“The place is a liberal mess, allowing crazed lunatics to enter and exit the classroom and spew fake anger and hate,” the U.S. president wrote.
The senators accuse Donald Trump of using the fight against Jew-hatred as “a means to an end” in the administration’s tackling of universities.
“The keffiyeh isn’t just a cultural symbol. Not anymore,” the organization wrote. “It’s a flag of war.”
The federal Task Force to Combat Antisemitism stated that it was “cautiously encouraged” by Yale’s response and is monitoring the situation.
“YIVO was conceived as a kind of Smithsonian Institution-Library of Congress of Eastern European Jews,” Eddy Portnoy, director of exhibitions at the nonprofit, told JNS.
“While any artist has the right in our country to express hateful views, Slope Day is about uniting our community, not dividing it,” the university stated.
