U.S. President Donald Trump had touted the anti-Israel activist’s deportation proceeding, while Democrats decried it as “authoritarianism.”
“It is clear that while we have made progress in addressing antisemitism, we have more to do in our shared goal of eradicating it in its entirety,” read a statement by the school’s chancellor, Julio Frenk.
The state’s top law enforcement officer said that Mahmoud Khalil is “an advocate and legal permanent resident of Palestinian descent.”
“At a time when terrorist attacks are fresh in the minds of Americans everywhere, this thwarted effort should serve as a warning to all ISIS and violent extremist ideologists everywhere,” per the FBI.
“Many college and university presidents took little or no credible action,” stated Craig Trainor, an acting assistant U.S. secretary of education.

“We will be revoking the visas and/or green cards of Hamas supporters in America so they can be deported,” U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated.
“I want the Jewish community to know that I understand their concerns and unique history of constantly being a victim of unprecedented and unwarranted attacks,” the New York City mayor said.
“I’d rather see a peace deal than the other, but the other will solve the problem,” the U.S. president said, hinting at possible military action against Iran’s nuclear program.
