In first-ever official visit of Israeli premier to UAE, Bennett departs for Abu Dhabi
During his trip, the prime minister will meet with the crown prince of Abu Dhabi to “discuss ... the economic and regional issues that will contribute to prosperity, welfare and strengthening the stability between the two countries.”
“The volume of events taking place speaks to the tremendous growth we have seen over the past year,” said Rabbi Yehuda Sarna.
“Stable and durable peaceful relations with neighboring countries are best served by connecting grids, whether water, electricity or telecommunication. This creates an association of mutual interests,” said former Israeli Ambassador to Jordan Oded Eran.

The exhibition, titled “Maktoub,” which means both “written” and “destined” in Arabic, features works from 10 calligraphy artists (half from Israel and half from the UAE).
Part of the group’s agenda was the affix a mezuzah on the entrance of the AJC Abu Dhabi office, the Sidney Lerner Center for Arab-Jewish Understanding, which is scheduled to open in March.
UAE’s climate change minister, Jordan’s minister of water and irrigation, and Israel’s energy minister signed the agreement at the Expo 2020 world fair in Dubai.
They also discussed regional relations and the developing transportation links between Israel and the UAE.
It reached roughly $610 million between January and July 2021, while imports from the UAE to Israel totaled $400 million.
