“We’re not going anywhere so fast. We can’t be erased,” one attendee told JNS. “People aren’t surrendering.”
“She lived with courage and conviction, instilling in her two children a deep love for Judaism and the Jewish people,” UJA-Federation New York stated.
“There are still 58 hostages in Gaza. We hope that at the next parade, and much sooner, they are all back home,” Eric Goldstein, the CEO of the UJA-Federation of New York, told JNS.
“We wanted people as soon as they walk into the space to see themselves as their future self and imagine that their vulnerability is in the past,” Alex Roth-Kahn, of the UJA, told JNS.
N.Y. Sephardim “are seriously Jewish, worldly, cosmopolitan, entrepreneurial,” Jason Guberman, who leads the American Sephardi Federation, told JNS.
Ambassador Gilad Erdan said it was easy to defend the Jewish state in a hostile forum like the U.N. because he knew the truth was on his side.
“There is no excuse for a prominent headline stating Mr. Bowman was ‘overtaken by flood of pro-Israel money,” the Federation’s CEO stated.
Federal, state and local officials attended the event, as did Eden Golan, Israel’s Eurovision star.
The eight-county New York area continues to be home to the greatest concentration of Jews in the United States.
“The time for talk ended 30 days ago. The time for action is now,” Gilad Erdan, the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, told the audience of more than 10,000.
He is slated to discuss antisemitism and other topics with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other leaders.
