Thanks to a major grant from Jewish National Fund-USA’s Boruchin Center, TAMID Group in partnership with Onward Israel will see a 124% increase in the number of participants taking part in its Fellowship program over the summer.
Each year, TAMID selects the most promising leaders from its campus program to participate in the Fellowship. Fellows spend a summer in Tel Aviv interning at prestigious companies, building leadership skills, and sightseeing – an experience that catalyzes a lifelong affinity to Israel.
The program is now preparing for dramatic growth thanks to a new $250,000 grant from the Boruchin Center. This new funding is a major driver of TAMID increasing the number of participants from 89 last year to 200 in 2022. The experience will run from June through August.

Victoria Benaroya, a sophomore at Rutgers and 2022 TAMID Fellow, added, “Being a part of TAMID has given me professional opportunities I never thought possible at my age. Thanks to JNF-USA’s Boruchin Center’s support, my experience will be more meaningful by having the opportunity to meet face to face with entrepreneurs in Israel and be inspired by the start-up nation.”
In addition to enabling a larger number of participants to gain professional experience in Israel, the Boruchin grant also allows TAMID Fellows to see the power of philanthropy through field trips to Jewish National Fund-USA sites in Israel in addition to hearing from speakers about the organization’s inspiring work.
Upon their return from Israel, participants will be equipped to lead in their TAMID chapters – and in their campus communities – with a confident connection to Israel. They will also be invited to Jewish National Fund-USA events that will further strengthen their connection.
On 63 campuses around the world, TAMID Group engages 3,500 undergraduate students with opportunities to grow their professional skills by working with Israeli companies. An increase in the number of student leaders who spend a summer in Israel will have ripple effects that impacts thousands of students on campus.
