The attack triggered air-raid sirens across central Israel, including in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and parts of Judea and Samaria.
The projectile was on a trajectory to the Negev and Dead Sea area, the Homefront Command said.
“Limiting the free flow of Iranian support to the Houthis is critical to regional security,” said U.S. Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of CENTCOM.
“No alerts were activated in accordance with policy,” the military announced.
The attack triggered air-raid sirens across central Israel, including in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, as well as throughout Judea and Samaria.
“The recent Houthi attacks in the Red Sea demonstrate the need for continued vigilance,” said the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
The attack came just hours after the Houthis launched two ballistic missiles at Israel.
The operation involved approximately 20 aircraft and the deployment of more than 50 munitions.
The attack triggered sirens across Judea and the Dead Sea region.
Warning sirens sounded in parts of Israel; no injuries or damage reported.
“An interceptor was launched toward the missile, and the missile was most likely successfully intercepted,” the IDF said.
Earlier, a senior Houthi official publicly congratulated Iran on what he described as its “victory” in the war with the Jewish state.
