An American imam who has called for the killing of Jews is scheduled to address a conference in Toronto that takes place Dec. 24-25.

Karim AbuZaid, the imam of the Colorado Muslims Community Center, will address the Salaheddin Islamic Centre’s annual winter conference.

In a video published in December 2017, AbuZaid is said that Jerusalem “will come back to the Muslims.”

In 2014, he declared: “[The City of] Al-Quds [Jerusalem] when the filth [abomination] of the Jews is being washed with with purified water, when it [Al-Quds/Jerusalem] is being washed from ritual impurity of the Jews.”

In 2011, AbuZaid stated: “O [the nation of] Zion [Jews], Leave alone the prophets, you are not belong to them [the prophets are not Jewish]. [O the nation of Zion, Jews] follow the pack of the dogs lead by a dog.”

In 2009, the imam said: “This [killing] is the solution for the Jews. Only killing them is the solution and exterminating them from the face of the earth in accordance to Hitler’s philosophy in case it was real.”

The Friends of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, located just outside Toronto, condemned the invitation.

“Individuals who spew extremist views should not be welcomed in Toronto,” said FSWC president and CEO Avi Benlolo. “Organizers of this and other conferences should be diligent and research what speakers have said in the past before allowing them to speak in such a public setting.”

AbuZaid is not the first conference speaker whose anti-Semitism has been exposed. Apparently, Tawfeeq As-Sayegh of Bahrain also made anti-Semitic remarks and was removed from the event.
