Billy Crystal, FBI director to join ‘Virtual L’Chaim’ to first responders amid pandemic

The event will also feature top law-enforcement officers, including from the Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. police departments.

Actor Billy Crystal and FBI director Christopher Wray will be among those who will raise a glass during a Zoom cocktail event on Wednesday in salute to those on the front lines in combating the coronavirus pandemic.

Crystal will host the 20-minute “Virtual L’Chaim” organized by the Secure Community Network, the security arm of the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

It will also feature top law-enforcement officers, including from the Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. police departments.

The event, which will also be aired on Facebook, will begin at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

“Medical professionals, law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs and so many others are devoting their lives to ensure our communities are as safe as possible,” said director of the Secure Community Network Michael Masters in a statement.
