Michael Rosenzweig, a new member of the board of directors at the Democratic Majority for Israel, told JNS about his views on rising antisemitism in academia, particularly at his alma mater.
“Protecting the leaders of terrorist groups who use human shields is simply unconscionable and indefensible,” per Democratic Majority for Israel PAC.
The U.S. House of Representatives must “pass an emergency supplemental that can be signed by the president,” they stated. “History will not forgive the failure of Congress to act.”
DMFI PAC spent almost as much space denouncing Reps. Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush as it did praising its endorsees.
“There’s really no evidence to support the proposition that President Biden’s support for Israel is doing him any electoral damage,” the Democratic Majority for Israel head said.
“It is customary for the leaders of both parties to endorse all their incumbent co-partisans,” according to Mark Mellman, president and CEO of Democratic Majority for Israel.
Will not having control of the Senate in question be demobilizing for Republican voters?
“Each of these distinguished leaders has demonstrated their willingness to fight for the Biden-Harris agenda, including a strong U.S.-Israel relationship,” said DMFI PAC president Mark Mellman.
The National SCOPUS Award honors those who “demonstrate humanitarian concerns throughout their lifetime” and are distinguished by “their civic engagement, their concern to achieve peaceful coexistence among people and nations, and their work on behalf of important causes locally, nationally and internationally.”
The candidates understand that “being pro-Israel is both good policy and good politics,” said DMFI PAC president Mark Mellman.
Included are candidates committed to supporting the agendas of U.S. President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party, and are supportive of a strong U.S.-Israeli relationship.
“The State of Israel is as progressive as it gets. Some of what the progressive members of the party fight for is actually occurring in Israel. We need to make sure those who have a tainted, tarnished, misinformed view understand the reality,” said Rep. Shontel Brown (D-Ohio), who serves on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
