The site was used to conduct weapons training and courses intended to prepare operatives for attacks against Israelis, the military said.

The Israel Defense Forces said on Friday that it had struck a Hezbollah training and qualification compound in southern Lebanon used by the terror group’s Radwan Force.

According to the IDF, the site was used to conduct weapons training and courses intended to prepare operatives for attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. The military noted that another Hezbollah training compound was targeted earlier this week.

The IDF added that, guided by intelligence, it also hit other Hezbollah military infrastructure in several areas of southern Lebanon.

The presence of military training facilities and terrorist infrastructure aimed at Israel constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and poses a threat to the State of Israel, the IDF said.

“The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel,” it added.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz visited Israel’s border with Lebanon on Tuesday, highlighting American efforts to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its terrorist capabilities.

“We are working hard to keep Hezbollah defeated through maximum pressure on Iran, reinforcing the Lebanese Armed Forces, and drawing down the U.N. mission so that Hezbollah can no longer use it as cover for their operations,” Waltz wrote on X following the visit.
