Iran claims cyber attack caused major damage to gas stations across country

The Islamic Republic says it remains on alert, blaming the United States and Western powers for such strikes in the past.

Iran claimed on Tuesday that a cyber attack interrupted fuel sales and caused long lines at gas stations throughout the Islamic Republic, state media reported.

It noted that it remains on alert against such strikes, which it has blamed on the United States and Western powers in the past, reported Reuters. “Technical experts are fixing the problem and soon the refueling process ... will return to normal,” said state broadcaster IRIB.

Abolhassan Firouzabadi, secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council of Cyberspace, told state TV: “This attack was probably carried out by a foreign country. It is too early to announce by which country and in which way it was done.”

Sgt. Noam Hamburger, 23, was a technology and maintenance specialist in the IDF’s 401st Brigade.
“We are in the stage of finalizing this memorandum of understanding, focused on ending the war,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
We would encourage him to self-deport before he is never ⁠given a chance to return, Department of Homeland Security spokesperson says.
The IDF will continue to remove any immediate threat, the army said.
