The Iranian leader described Tehran’s massive ballistic missile attack as “the minimum punishment for the crimes of the usurping Zionist regime.”
Tehran has been recruiting members of Swedish criminal gangs to commit “acts of violence” against Israeli targets.
“We’re working on a joint statement,” the U.S. president said. “There’s going to be some sanctions imposed on Iran.”
“It is up to Israel what they think they need to do to keep their country safe,” Sen. J.D. Vance said. “We should support our allies wherever they are when they’re fighting the bad guys.”
Nearly 35,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport on Wednesday, on about 200 flights.
The United States, Canada and numerous European countries denounced the Iranian attack on Israel.
The IDF chief said that “we will choose when to exact the price,” which officials said will be significant.
“No one has been injured, and we are carrying out initial investigations at the scene,” according to local police.
Some 50% of Americans want to keep support for Israel’s military efforts against Iranian proxies at about the same level, while 25% each want to either increase or decrease the backing.
Before the thrashing Israel gave its proxy in Lebanon, the Shi’ite group was seen as a powerful platform for a retaliation by Tehran against Israel.
“Together, we will stand steadfast in the trying days ahead of us,” the Israeli prime minister said. “Together, we will fight, and together, we will win.”
“The forces of light in the world must unite and work together against the ayatollah’s dark regime, which is the source of terror and evil in our region,” said the Israeli prime minister.
