Pupils evacuated during Israel’s multi-front war returned to school in their home communities in the “Gaza Envelope” and northern Israel.
Dr. Mathias Döpfner, CEO of the German media group Axel Springer, will receive the presidential medal alongside eight distinguished Israeli figures.
“We value the bond between our nations and remain committed to strengthening our ties across various sectors,” the Ukrainian leader said.
“My brother is a student who was caught in a war he has no side in. Is he starving, injured, alive? How can anyone survive 680 days in hell?”
“These are the same people who weakened Israel then and are trying to do so again today,” the national security minister said.
The first through fifth Knesset sessions were held in Frumin House at 24 King George Street in Jerusalem.
The film details the Hamas-led massacre on Oct. 7, 2023, which specifically targeted the Nova music festival near Kibbutz Re’im.
“May you have a swift recovery in body and soul from this terrible ordeal. We are with you, and we are here for you. The whole Jewish people stands with you,” said Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
“These horrifying images are further evidence of the cruel torture inflicted on innocent Israelis held by Hamas,” said the Israeli president.
“While the State of Israel allows the entry of humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza, Hamas terrorists deliberately starve our hostages and document them in a cynical and malicious manner,” said the Israeli premier.
“These visits will underscore the importance of preserving historical memory and combating the alarming rise of antisemitism in Europe,” said the Israeli president.
The Israeli president stated that the information he received made it clear that the “true obstacle to humanitarian relief is Hamas.”
