The Israeli president expresses solidarity with the community, calling them an inseparable part of Israel and Israeli society.
“This is the most important issue on Israel’s agenda, undoubtedly. These moments are extremely sensitive,” said the Israeli president.
Israel’s improved relations with the European nation marked another step in a positive direction with an official ceremony in Jerusalem.
“Herzl stood tall—as a representative of an ancient people demanding, with moral clarity, to return to its homeland,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“We have demonstrated Israel’s strength and transformed the reality on the ground. We are in a historic moment,” said the Israeli president.
Youssef Msibih was dismissed by the board of his mosque in Alkmaar after videos emerged of him singing Hatikvah in Arabic.
“The war that broke out after Oct. 7 is not a war between Israel and Hamas or Israel and Hezbollah but a war between two worlds.”
The Israeli head of state expressed his “deepest condolences” as deaths and the missing continued to mount.
“We stand side by side, shoulder to shoulder, in the defense of freedom and liberty,” the Israeli president wrote.
“In Israel, the pardon process begins with a formal request from the concerned individual,” local media cited the president’s office as stating.
“There is no force on earth that will make us forget our tortured loved ones who remain [in Gaza],” said Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
The Israeli president mourned the four killed and praised the response after the projectile hit homes and a kindergarten in the Negev city.
