Terrorists in Gaza launched two rockets towards Israel on Wednesday evening, shortly after the start of the Passover seder. One landed in the Gaza Strip and the other in an open field, and no one was injured, according to media reports.

There were also reports of more clashes at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited an Iron Dome battery site in southern Israel on Wednesday morning, where he was briefed on the overnight attack. He also held a briefing on Tuesday night’s clashes on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

“Following a number of situation assessments, I conducted a visit and security briefing at the site of an Iron Dome battery, which was employed to intercept missiles fired from Gaza overnight,” Gallant said. “IDF troops are protecting the citizens of Israel on this Seder night and throughout the holiday of Passover, here and everywhere across the country—in the air, at sea and on land.”

“I want to be very clear: We will hit anyone who tries to harm us, and exact a heavy price that will make them regret any threats against Israeli citizens or IDF troops,” Gallant added. “I hope we all enjoy a happy and peaceful Passover.”
