Israel destroys apparent Quds Force headquarters in Syria

The strikes were in response to attacks on Tuesday that set off warning sirens in northern Israel, sending residents scrambling for shelter.

Israel destroyed what appeared to be the headquarters in Syria of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force on Tuesday, according to Satellite images released on Wednesday.

At least 16 of the 23 combatants killed in Israel’s predawn airstrikes in Syria were likely Iranians.

The strikes were in response to earlier attacks on Tuesday that set off warning sirens in northern Israel, sending residents scrambling for shelter.

Israel’s Iron Dome air-defense system intercepted all four projectiles. No casualties or damage was reported.

“In our region, Israel alone protects our Christian community which is growing and prospering,” said the Israeli premier.
Of these, 138 remain hospitalized, with the ministry urging non-emergency cases to use urgent care centers to ease hospital crowding.
Protesters outside the building were heard chanting “the Zionist embassy.”
The investigation into the package’s origin is ongoing.
Qassem Soleimani’s niece has reportedly expressed support for the Iranian regime on social media.
Israel’s ambassador to Canada called on the country’s leaders to “immediately take all necessary measures to thwart this ticking bomb.”
